Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
A stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) is a site -specific, written document that identifies the potential sources of stormwater pollution at the industrial facility. This plan describes stormwater control measures that are used to reduce or eliminate pollutants in stormwater discharges from the industrial facility.
This plan requires to address the specific conditions at each site and keep it up-to-date to reflect changes at the site both for the facility’s use and review by the regulatory agencies or authoritieswho oversee the permit compliance.
A SWPPP is required prior to submission of a notice of intent (NOI) or permit application to the permitting authority.
